As a Senior Analyst, Brenda sees herself as a utility player on the team. Whether it’s synthesizing research to provide strategic insights for our clients or co-facilitating and program managing our cohort-based work, she can do it all. But her favorite part of the job is simply getting to learn from the amazing social entrepreneurs and forward-thinking philanthropists with whom we work. Prior to joining Building Impact Partners, Brenda worked in policy and advocacy, helping advance racial equity work at the Connecticut General Assembly. In her spare time, she continues to support the work in her home state as a freelance consultant for social enterprises, government entities, and nonprofits in Connecticut. Her deep commitment to addressing systemic issues can be traced back to her time as a public school teacher. Brenda received her bachelor’s in molecular biology and the history of public health from Yale.
- The daughter of Puerto Rican parents, Brenda is fluent in Spanish, her first language.
- Swimming in the Caribbean Sea, meditating in the mountains, and listening to live jazz are a few of Brenda’s happy places.
- A proud New Englander, you can find Brenda enjoying the local seafood at some of her favorite coastal towns every summer.
