As a Director at Building Impact Partners, Erin wrangles people and resources in service of our shared goals. She loves making sure everyone has the tools they need to do their best, most impactful work, which often means finding a concrete path forward where no road existed before. People say she has a knack for asking questions that push everyone’s understanding and sensing when the team needs to take a break, share a laugh, or just breathe. Erin’s experiences building new systems from scratch trace back to her time working with Story Pirates, an educational media company and arts education provider, where she built the foundational processes that facilitated their national expansion from a handful of pilot programs in New York City to a presence in hundreds of schools and community organizations across the country. She deepened these skills as an associate director with CCS in Chicago, where she worked alongside leading nonprofits to create fundraising strategies and operational structures that drive mission impact. Erin received her master’s in public policy from the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy and her bachelor’s in political science and theater from Fordham University. She is an alum of The Equity Lab’s Nexus Fellowship, which equips senior social change leaders with the highest leverage tools to transform communities, organizations, and systems to advance equity, justice, and liberation.
