Haley Pilgrim

(She/Her)

Associate

As an Associate at Building Impact Partners, Dr. haley pilgrim*, supports our work with funders, nonprofits, and community partners to design stronger strategies and programs. She enjoys helping teams move from big, ambitious ideas to clear plans that can create real impact for young people, families, and communities.

Before joining BIP, haley worked in strategy consulting at Publicis Sapient and Bain & Company, where she supported clients across education, workforce, consumer products, technology, and organizational transformation. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania where she taught Sociology of Black Communities, trained instructors on inclusive practices, and led student and community-focused initiatives.

Fun Facts:

  • haley loves reality TV, antiquing, and finding the best daytime celebrations.
  • She serves on local community boards in Westchester and is passionate about civic engagement.
  • She is also always looking for a reason to plan her next trip with her husband, Rod.

*haley writes her name in lowercase as a tribute to Black feminist writers and activists who used language and punctuation to question hierarchy and imagine new ways of being seen. In this tradition, lowercase is one way to resist the idea that leadership has to be loud, centered, or self-important. It is both personal and political: a reminder to challenge power, center community, and make space for softer, more collective forms of leadership.
