Maria is energized by partnering with mission-driven leaders to amplify their work and scale their impact. She thrives at the intersection of vision and execution, helping leaders bring bold ideas to life. Maria sees her role as a trusted partner to leaders, building the systems, culture, and strategy that allow them to lead with focus, confidence, and purpose. Before joining Building Impact, Maria spent nearly a decade driving operations and digital strategy across political campaigns, advocacy organizations, and purpose-driven agencies. Most recently, she served as Chief of Staff for Grassroots Fundraising on the Biden and Harris campaigns, where she led operations for a team that broke political fundraising records. She has also directed agency operations for a multicultural advertising firm and led digital strategy for advocacy organizations tackling some of today’s most urgent challenges. Maria is guided by a simple compass: to do the most good alongside people who care deeply about the world. She holds an MS in Integrated Marketing from NYU and a BA in Health and Society from the University of Rochester.
Fun Facts:
- Maria loves the outdoors. Her favorite adventures have been hiking 30 miles in Patagonia (the most beautiful place on earth!) and riding from Baltimore to Washington D.C. with a group of women of color as part of the 1928 Legacy Tour.
- A passionate advocate for women’s rights (particularly raising awareness of violence against women), Maria has helped raise over $60,000 for organizations working at both national and local levels to empower women.
